Ayr Utd's football academy has launched a fundraiser after a defibrillator and first aid kit were stolen from a staff member's car. The theft occurred on June 2 in broad daylight near Somerset Park. A bag of goalkeeper gloves was also taken. Jamie Walker set up a GoFundme page to replace the vital equipment and ease the financial burden on the academy. The defibrillator is crucial for the academy's activities, including Walking Football and Dementia Friendly Groups. Police Scotland confirmed that enquiries into the theft are at an early stage. A force spokesperson said a report was received on June 3. The academy hopes to raise £900 to replace the stolen items. The fundraiser aims to support the academy's efforts to provide a safe environment for its participants. Ayr Utd's community is coming together to support the academy. The stolen defibrillator was used for various activities, including Football Memories sessions and the Ayr United Strollers Walking Group. The academy is grateful for the public's support in replacing the stolen equipment. The fundraiser is ongoing, and donations can be made through the GoFundme page.
