Ayr Utd return to Championship action against Raith Rovers
Ayr United will look to get over their Ayrshire derby disappointment as they return to Championship action this weekend. The Honest Men travel to Kirkcaldy on Saturday to face Raith Rovers in the William Hill Championship.
Strong start to the season
Gary Naysmith's side have enjoyed a strong start to the league campaign, beating Arbroath in the season opener before earning a good point away at Dunfermline. However, Ayr were cruelly beaten by two late goals in the Premier Sports Cup last week at the hands of bitter rivals Kilmarnock.
Raith Rovers await
They will travel to face a Raith side on August 22 who have also earned four points from their opening two games. Tickets for the match are available online. Ayr supporters will be housed in the Metrotile Stand, with tickets priced at £22 for adults, £14 for over-65s, £13 for under-21s, £8 for under-16s and under-12s go free. Disabled tickets are priced at the relevant age category but are entitled to a free carer. This can be purchased on Fanbase, however, proof of entitlement will need to be shown at the turnstile on the way in.
